The video for "Deceiver Of The Gods", the title track of the ninth studio album from Swedish metallers AMON AMARTH, can be seen below. The video features clips from the upcoming film "Northmen - A Viking Saga, which stars Tom HopperRyan KwantenKen Duken, and features AMON AMARTH frontman Johan Hegg as Valli.

"Northmen - A Viking Saga" was shot for eight weeks primarily in South Africa, with some additional shooting in Germany.

Johan commented on his role: “Valli is a very experienced warrior and has a strong bond with his younger brother BjornValli looks brutal with his broad back and leather-dominated clothing. He has already experienced and survived a great deal. His face is full of scars.”

Plot synopsis: “In the 9th century a group of Vikings, commanded by captain Asbjörn, is approaching Britain, aiming to plunder the rich monasteries in the north of the island. But their ship gets caught in a storm and is smashed to pieces on the rocks off the coast of Scotland, the only part of Britain without any Viking settlements. When Inghean, daughter of the Scottish King Dunchaid, by chance falls into Viking hands, they see the opportunity for demanding a large ransom. King Dunchaid immediately sets his ‘wolfpack’ — a group of mercenaries well known for their savagery — on them. The Northmen with their hostage now have to force their way through the rough highlands, where they meet the brave and mysterious Christian monk Conall. Having the wolfpack close on their heels, a desperate race against time begins. A battle over life and death…”

"Northmen - A Viking Saga" is set to receive a theatrical release in Europe on October 23.

"Deceiver Of The Gods" sold around 17,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 19 on The Billboard 200 chart. The record arrived in stores on June 25, 2013 via Metal Blade Records.

Recorded at Backstage Studios in Derbyshire, United Kingdom, and produced, mixed and mastered by Andy Sneap (OPETHMEGADETHEXODUSARCH ENEMYKILLSWITCH ENGAGE), "Deceiver Of The Gods" delivers ten fiery battle hymns made of buzzsaw riffs and epic harmonies all driven by vocalist Johan Hegg's commanding Viking roar and absorbing accounts of Norse crusades and treachery.

"Deceiver Of The Gods" comes adorned with another outstanding Tom Thiel-created cover portraying a mythical battle between the Norse Gods Loki and Thor. As an added bonus, Messiah Marcolin (CANDLEMASS) makes an appearance as guest vocalist on eighth track, "Hel".

SoFA Street Fair is FREE, ALL AGES celebration of the music, art, and culture of the eclectic SoFA District.
The first SoFA Street Fair was held in 1992, to celebrate the emergence of a new community - a

neighborhood of galleries, coffee shops, nightclubs and small retail – that stood as stark contrast to the

expensively “redeveloped” downtown just blocks away. After 10 years, the neighborhood was strong,

the “SoFA DISTRICT” name was established [even in the real estate guidebooks], and businesses were

thriving, when the re-christened SoFA FESTIVAL ended, appropriately enough, with a performance by

legendary punk band X, in September of 2001. The reupholstered SoFA Street Fair will celebrate the local community in music, art, theater, and design.

Three outdoor stages will present dozens of performances throughout the day. Arts and Music venues will

be open to the public, and even non-traditional spaces like martial arts studios, hotels, and newspaper

offices will showcase additional talent. And it will all be FREE, as it was in 1992.

"I think I speak for most artists of any kind when I say that it’s a rarity to step back from something you created and feel 100% satisfied without seeing the flaws or things you wish you had made differently," said MOTIONLESS IN WHITE singer Chris Motionless. “This is the first time in my life I’ve composed an album and have departed from the studio feeling like everything I’ve ever wanted to accomplish, has finally materialized. I put past mistakes behind me and focused on becoming a new body of musical existence, while maintaining the characteristics that I enjoyed most about our band. As it is mine, this will absolutely be your favorite MOTIONLESS record.”

MOTIONLESS IN WHITE will support LACUNA COIL in Europe starting on October 31 in Bristol, United Kingdom.

MOTIONLESS IN WHITE has carved out a corner in the metal scene with its aggressive electro-tinged anthems, crowd-empowering choruses, melding with their dark and profound message. The band recruited a collection of devout fans across the world, having toured with metal juggernauts such as MARILYN MANSONSLIPKNOT, A DAY TO REMEMBERESCAPE THE FATE and BLACK VEIL BRIDES.
