Arcade Fire and Devo?
With a Headline like that in the 80’s ?
You could picture all the Pac Man and Pinball machines on fire at your local Arcade.
The Arcade in the 80’s was a Summer Camp / Lord Of The Fly zone .
Kids hopped up on soda and weed pumping quarters in machines.
Free from your parents and fighting Aliens or enjoying Xenon or KISS pinball.
You had no other options at the time .
In the year 2014 this headline equals a fun good time.
Arcade Fire is great live.
Blending Artsy Indie art rock with catchy grooves.
Devo- the Akron Ohio spawned Art Punk Juggernaut is also on the bill.
I imagine some wacky dancing will take place during this concert.
Parents will love the Retro Devo sound and be floored by the Arcade Fire Sound.
Nostalgia and the torch being passed to the New Guard.
What do I mean?
The band lineup is genius and should keep all ages happy.
It makes sense and looks like a super fun bill.
See you on Location..

DEVO & DAN DEACON
ADDED TO SHOW ON JULY 30
AT SHORELINE AMPHITHEATRE

"fully enthralling live… a show that feels less like a collection of songs and more an immersive experience… even after the band’s final goodbye, the crowd stood in the park singing the melodic words-free chorus line like a soccer chant with passion and gratitude."
—HOLLYWOOD REPORTER

"Born headliners"—THE GUARDIAN

"Watching a band at the top of their game, blurring the lines between musical styles…You won’t see many better live performances"—MTV

"Euphoric… Theirs is the kind of music that makes you want to wrap your arm around everyone you’re with, sing like inebriated pirates and hope that summer never ends"—THE INDEPENDENT
